H&M CONSCIOUS COLLECTION

Each year H&M announces its Conscious Exclusive Collection since first launching the eco-friendly concept in 2010. Its latest collection released for Spring 2019 uses two new materials in the construction of its garments: Orange Fibre, made from citrus fruit’s peel, and Pinatex, a leather alternative made from Pineapple leaves. The new collection also includes items made from recycled plastic bottles. Not only does H&M strive to create more environmentally friendly clothing, but it also encourages its customers to donate their old clothing too, with an incentive of gift vouchers when donating old clothes in store.

NINTEY PERCENT

Ninety Percent is a new contemporary label launched last year, which donates 90% of its profits between charitable causes at the choice of its customers. After receiving your order, you will find a unique code on the care label of your garment, which you can then use on its website to donate the 90% to a charity of your choice. The charities partnered with Ninety Percent include Children’s Hope, War Child UK, Wild Aid and Big Life Foundation. Ninety Percent also aims to use sustainable fabrics in the construction of its garments, such as organic cotton and Tencel, made from a renewable wood pulp. Its mission is to #DressBetter to unite our community and start something meaningful.
